Gingerbread Party featured on Draper James

Another Draper James party shoot for the books! I had such a blast with this one. Candy, kids, Christmas, and Draper James fashion ... what's not to love!?

Here’s a tiny taste of the festivities. For more pictures and details, head to draperjames.com.

Table

Amy Cherry (photographer extraordinaire) and I met over at The Red House in Franklin for the party. I started by lining the table with a paper table runner and paper place mats. Perfectly kid-friendly and easy to clean up, paper table coverings are totally on-trend. These Draper James red and white striped table runners and candy cane placemats (now on sale!) are playful and geometrically chic.

Isn't this farm table from The Barn Door great? Best part? It's really a folding table. The legs are collapsible making it totally totable and easy to move and store.

DJGongerbreadHouse

The biggest job for this party was the gingerbread house replica I made of Draper James flagship Nashville store. I'm a little embarrassed to tell you how many hours I spent on it. Let's just say Jacobs started to get used to our house smelling like gingerbread!

BehindtheScenes

I printed out a photo of the store, cut out gingerbread dough (using Martha Stewart's recipe), iced and decorated each wall, made glass windows out of sugar, and then assembled. I added a string of battery powered Christmas lights inside so the windows would glow.

InStore

It's now sitting in the Draper James store. Go see it before it get's eaten by hungry shoppers!

Kids

My favorite part of the party had to be all my friends kids that came to "model" and enjoy making (and eating) their own gingerbread houses. Annie, Graham, Lily, Holt, Camden, Whitt, and Emmaline had a blast and all took home their amazing creations.

Did I mention the adorable fashion provided by Draper James? A candy cane skirt, paired with a plaid button down was incredibly festive and fun. Plus this coat is AMAZING! :)

Fashion

I had such a good time putting this one together. This kid-friendly Christmas party definitely made my holiday a little sweeter.
