Secret Spaghetti and Meatballs REVEALED
I'm about to reveal a HUGE secret. Listen closely because you don't want to miss this one.
The best pasta in Nashville is at Lazzaroli Pasta in Germantown. Ok, so maybe you already knew that but here's something you might not ... ugg maybe I shouldn't tell you ... ok here goes ... if you ask and/or call ahead they have the most amazing meatballs you've ever eaten.
We've tried meatballs at arguably the best Italian restaurant in New York, Locanda Verde, and they don't even compare to Lazzaroli. I love love Nashville's Rolf and Daughter's (one of Bon Appetit's Hottest New Restaurants in 2013) and while they were very good, I had to shrug and simply say, "They're not as good as Lazzaroli's."
Best part? You make it all at home! I love to cook but some nights are just too busy to put together a made-from-scatch meal. Lazzaroli Pasta makes you a fully homemade meal that you didn't have to cook—just heat up. Perfect for busy weeknights, having special guest over or to take a family for a meal (I have lots of friends having babies that love getting this). Pick up pasta, meatballs, toasted ravioli and a loaf of fresh bread (plus a bottle of wine if you really like them). They also make lasagna if you place an order ahead of time.
Besides the meatballs, the pasta is top notch—all handmade in small batches using only fresh, simple, all natural ingredients. The Goat Cheese and Pear Ravioli is silky smooth and has a simple elegance when served with brown butter, finely chopped pancetta and pine nuts. I'm also looking forward to the seasonal ravioli this fall—pumpkin and butternut squash.
When you go, tell Tom (Lazzaroli's owner) that Katie Jacobs sent you! Lazzaroli Pasta lazzaroli.com 1314 5th Avenue North Historic Germantown, Nashville (615) 291-9922
